Chris & Brittany's Wetheral Church Wedding | Wetheral Wedding Photographer

Chris & Brittany celebrated their beautiful wedding with a heartfelt ceremony at St Mary's Church, Wetheral, before we headed to one of Cumbria's most scenic locations for their couple portraits.

The banks of the River Eden, with the iconic Wetheral Viaduct standing proudly in the background, provided the perfect setting for relaxed, natural wedding photography. With beautiful light, peaceful surroundings and plenty of laughter, we captured timeless images that truly reflect their day.

The celebrations continued in a beautifully decorated marquee, where family and friends enjoyed an energetic Ceilidh that kept the dance floor full all evening. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic wedding filled with love, fun and unforgettable moments.

If you're planning a wedding at St Mary's Church, Wetheral, or anywhere across Cumbria, I'd love to capture your day with natural, authentic photography that tells your story from beginning to end.

A Beautiful Ceremony at St Mary's Church, Wetheral

Family and friends gathered at the historic church to celebrate Chris & Brittany as they exchanged their vows in a heartfelt ceremony. St Mary's Church is full of character, with beautiful stonework and elegant surroundings that make every wedding feel special.

After congratulations outside the church and plenty of smiles, laughter and hugs, we made the short journey to one of Wetheral's best photography locations.

Relaxed Wedding Photography Beside the River Eden

The banks of the River Eden are always a favourite for wedding portraits. With peaceful woodland, flowing water and uninterrupted views towards the impressive Wetheral Viaduct, it's a location that never disappoints.

Rather than asking couples to spend hours posing, I simply encourage them to relax, enjoy a few moments together and forget the camera is there. The result is genuine smiles, natural expressions and photographs that tell the real story of the day.

Chris & Brittany were an absolute pleasure to photograph, making the most of the stunning surroundings while enjoying some quiet time together away from the celebrations.

The Iconic Wetheral Viaduct

The magnificent Victorian railway viaduct has become one of Cumbria's most recognisable landmarks and provides an incredible backdrop for wedding photography.

Combined with the beautiful River Eden below, it offers a unique mix of history and landscape that perfectly complements relaxed documentary-style wedding photography.

Every season brings something different here, whether it's vibrant spring colours, warm summer evenings, rich autumn tones or crisp winter light.
