Real Moments, Real Emotion & Real People=Natural Wedding Photography.
Hi my name is Stephen and I'm a Cumbrian born photographer inspired by all of the emotions that make up a wedding day, Excitement, laughter, nerves, tears, joy & sadness. I actually feel privileged to be part of your special day and to witness your unique day and capture it forever.
The majority of my weddings are in The Lake District & Cumbria but I'm willing to travel to locations anywhere in the North West & Southern Scotland.
Cumbria holds a very special place in my heart, I was born just a stone's throw from the Lake District on the Cumbrian coast at Silloth near Carlisle & I spend a considerable amount of my free weekends in the Lakes walking the fells with my wife & dog taking in the majesty and beauty that inspire my photography.
My style of wedding photography is a mixture of traditional & modern. I like my couples to have fun and to be themselves. I'm very easy going and like to capture realistic and natural photos of your special day.
Stephen Rowell Photography has had the privilege to cover weddings at many stunning venues in and around the Lake District including The Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa, The Inn on the Lake, Low Wood Bay, The Langdale Chase, Storrs Hall, The Greenhill Hotel, Blaithwaite House, Three Hills Barn, Armathwaite Hall, Hundith Hill, North Lakes Hotel, New House Farm & The Heather Glen to name just a few.
My price for a full days wedding photography coverage starts at £650, this includes pre-wedding meet and photoshoot, online gallery to view your images and USB with all of your high resolution images (watermark free) images included. I have a large selection of albums and presentation USB digital albums that are charged separately.
"Perfect photos of your perfect day"
No detail is too small and in fact it is the small details that make up your amazing day & I capture every intricate item & moment to to tell the story of your special day
90% of all my wedding photography is unscripted and natural. I let the day flow organically, this enables me to capture the very essence of
I work closely with all my Brides & Grooms often meeting up several times to discuss wedding photography ideas at the venue or meet to have a coffee, To be honest most of the couples I've had the pleasure of photographing become friends and many I still keep in contact with. I suppose when you share such an intimate day with someone you are almost treat like part of the family

I use natural & available light for the majority of my work, this keeps it real. I love to photograph real moments, real emotions and real people. There is an element of posing for photos at a wedding (it's unavoidable) and sometimes it can be great fun to mess about and experiment with different ideas. I try to give you the photos you want not what I want.
The devil is definitely in the detail Stephen Rowell Photography takes pride in capturing all of the moments you you will treasure for eternity and to pass onto the next generation. My photography is timeless and has a unique quality. Whether photographing on location in the stunning Lake District one of Cumbria's historical towns my photography adapts to each.
