When guidance is needed—such as during family group photographs or couple portraits—I keep everything relaxed and natural so you never feel uncomfortable in front of the camera.

Do we need to be good at posing?

Absolutely not.

Almost every couple tells me they're nervous about being photographed.

The truth is you don't need modelling experience or complicated poses. I'll gently guide you into natural movements and interactions that feel comfortable rather than staged. Most couples tell me they forget the camera is even there after a few minutes.

The result is photographs that look effortless because they genuinely are.

Can we have photographs around the village of Askham?

If your timeline allows, the surrounding village and nearby countryside can provide additional opportunities for relaxed portraits. However, most couples are surprised by just how much variety Askham Hall itself offers. In many cases there's no need to leave the venue, allowing you to maximise your time celebrating with family and friends.

How far in advance should we book?

Popular dates, particularly Fridays and Saturdays between May and September, often book well over a year in advance.
